Registred residents. Foreign-born with two foreign-born parents aged 25-64 born outside the Nordic countries, the EU and EES. Foreign-born with native-born adoptive parents are excluded.

The frequency is calculated by dividing the amount in a given group that has attained a specific level of education by the total population in the group. Example: Frequency Tertiary, age 25-64 = (25-64 attained tertiary education) / (Total 25-64 population). Percentages or frequencies are produced with a base of a minimum of 50 individuals per cell

Country background: Foreign-born with two foreign-born parents = their own country of birth. Descendants = mother's country of birth, or father's country of birth if mother's is unknown. Rest of the population = Reporting country i.e. one or both parents' country of birth is the reporting country.

This matrix is the result of an integration and migration co-operation project involving the Nordic Statistical Institutes. More information about the project and the results can be found at the website for Nordic Co-operation .
